A-10 Tournament

Xavier swept Dayton by 3 games for the second year in a row on the strength of a balanced scoring attack led by Josh Duncan with 16 points. Drew Lavender was able to play 32 minutes, so he and the coaches must think his ankle is close enough to fully recovered to start playing him the way they normally would. His shot was a little off but he more then made up for it by leading the team with 6 assists and just 1 turnover.
B.J. Raymond struggled to guard Marcus Johnson all night though, allowing him to score 26 points as well as get B.J. into foul trouble throughout the game. Hopefully he can bounce back before the next game, where Xavier may have to face St. Joseph’s for a third time this year, and both games have been very close.

Dayton is no longer a rival, you have to beat the other team every once in awhile.
